Kristin + Noah
Wabash Indiana Wedding

Oh I could go on and on about this wedding. So many moments and memories (past and present) made and remembered all in one place.

First, I must start by giving some background detail. This family is not only my husband’s family, but my family. I am so proud to be a part of this family and love to see how The Lord has blessed this family through the faithfulness of Papa, Don Langebartels. Though Papa is no longer with us his legacy lives on and his faithfulness has impacted his children, children’s children and now the next generation of great grandchildren. To see how The Lord uses his people and how good his promises are causes an out flow of praise and joy.

Kristin is one of eight kids. YES! Eight kids! Tom and Wendy (her parents) kept trying until they had a girl and that just so happened to be number eight. The beauty in being not only number eight, but the only girl means she was and is VERY well protected by her seven older brothers. She is also the last of the clan to get married. This in and of itself is kind of weird considering we have been attending a Langebartels wedding pretty much every year as far as I have been a part of this family. The first time I met my husband’s extended family there were over 40 of them all gathered at Mema and Papa’s house for lunch after church. Talk about name overload! This family’s love for Christ compels them to love so well. I was immediately loved by them and can’t begin to describe in words how I have been encouraged by them.

I know I might have been a little crazy in taking on this wedding and being 38 weeks pregnant, but being the last wedding for this particular Langebartels family I just couldn’t say no. I had so much help with the watching of my kiddos, to help carrying anything and everything and my wonderful husband transporting me everywhere and being at my beck and call. This day was one to remember!

Noah and Kristin were so easy! Kristin was a natural and made capturing sweet moments a breeze. The way she looks at Noah and the excitement that was evident in her smile was precious. It always brings back so many memories for myself and helps remind me of the joys of marriage. I think one of my favorite parts of the whole day was when they were reading their vows. Their vows were so genuine and they have a great understanding of who they are in Christ. They, before all the people, admitted that they will fall short and fail at being perfect. They realize that marriage is a gift and something that you must work hard at. They realize that only our Savior Jesus Christ is perfect, but have PROMISED to strive to remain close to the cross and rely on Christ to sanctify and grow them in marriage together. This understanding is great.

I hope you are able to see the love of this family in the “few” pictures below. Finally, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Kirk! Love you both and hope you are enjoying your honeymoon.

***If you are wondering why some of the faces have been blurred out it’s because they are foster children and I am not permitted to show their faces. This is yet another reason why I love this family so much!! They love others so well!

And this is just the immediate family 🙂 You can see why WE LOVE family gatherings. It’s always a party!
