A Thanksgiving Day Morning

filed in

What a different way to start my Thanksgiving morning. It’s pretty neat how things just happen to work out. I would not normally do a session on a holiday, but we just so happen to be free that morning and had different holiday plans than normal.

I grew up with Carmen (the curly haired mama). Her Sister-In-Law, Karen, just happened to reach out to me asking about the long shot of scheduling a session Thanksgiving Morning. To my surprise we were traveling that afternoon and I wasn’t responsible for much cooking. I just made one simple pumpkin roll the night before. This session took place at Carmen’s In-Laws and it was so peaceful. Franklin, KY is gorgeous and there’s something about being back in Kentucky that just makes my heart so happy.

From roasting mallows over the fire pit to playing in the leaves I’d say that had a great start to their Thanksgiving Day. I hope that these serve them well and give them some sweet memories to have of their Grandmother. She was so sweet and I love how she was constantly smiling. This started my day off with lots of smiles. Enjoy!
