Talk about some cuties!!! The Hunt’s were just wonderful to meet and I so enjoyed this sweet family session. When Lindsey reached out about doing a family session I was so excited. I love meeting new people and seeing pictures of sweet little Emma I couldn’t wait to get them in front of my camera! […]

You guys! I just can’t even begin to describe how much I LOVED this day. One of the biggest reasons why is that I got to witness this beautiful union before our Great God with my husband Tommy. Tommy has joined Whitney Woodall Photography and we are officially a husband and wife team!!! I’m literally […]

There are always so many different reasons to do a styled shoot. For me this was a chance to meet other photographers, build community and make connections. I loved getting to know others in the wedding industry and when you can build relationships in a setting like this it’s always so fun. This was a […]

What a different way to start my Thanksgiving morning. It’s pretty neat how things just happen to work out. I would not normally do a session on a holiday, but we just so happen to be free that morning and had different holiday plans than normal. I grew up with Carmen (the curly haired mama). […]

Funny title I know I know… I say famil(ies) because ALL my kiddos were present for this session. NO, this is NOT typical, but this family isn’t either! These friends are near and dear to us. We love doing life with them. We have been trying to get in a session for weeks, but […]

What a blessing friendship is. I love how you can receive so much encouragement from a simple visit from great friends. This family is near and dear to us so I was so excited that we could do this mini session when they popped in town on Sunday! The Bloechers  traveled all the way from […]

This family session was full of smiles, giggles and holding! From holding sweet “Ember Bember” to Clint holding his bride we sure had some sweet moments this past Saturday. This family holds a special place in my heart because the Fields were the first family I photographed after moving to Nashville! It has been ONE […]

I loved doing this family session. I always feel like sessions with a photographer’s family is so easy because they “get it.” There’s nothing to explain and nothing to prove. The Teasely Family is adorable and there is so much personality in the family, especially in sweet Rachel! She is so spunky and I LOVE […]

I have to begin by saying how grateful I am that we didn’t call this session off!! It was literally pouring rain just 20 minutes before these photos were taken. Alex and I were texting back and forth trying to figure out if we could make this rainy day work and because of their crazy […]

A family session to kick off Fall! Fall is by far my favorite season (though there is much I love about all seasons). There is just something about Fall that makes me feel so happy. Maybe because so many things happen in the fall that I love like bon fires, roasting mallows (think Sandlot the […]

5 Tips for a Perfect Wedding Day Timeline

More ABOUT US

I'm Whitney Woodall, head photographer here at Whitney Woodall Photography. I believe in the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. Tommy, my hubby, is my main supporter and encourager. We are a husband and wife team based in Nashville, TN.

When we're not photographing weddings, you can find us traveling, loving on our kiddos, drinking coffee, me sporting the messy bun and Tommy playing some sort of musical instrument. We are all about perspective. Charles Spurgeon said, “It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.” This sums it up pretty good. We love how Christ at the cross puts everything into perspective for us.
